New klx250s....Got It !!!!
Hi to all. Thanks for all the answers and advice I have picked up on this board. I have my new 2006 KLX250s loaded in my Toyota and am headed for the east Texas dirt roads. I took it for a spin around the dealership parking lot and I can tell you so far its great. I think it will suit me to a "T". $4600 OTD if any are interested.
I will give a full ride report when I return.

Ok.........I was able to put 98 miles on my new (overpriced) KLX250s. About 60% dirt roads. Here are some impressions:
[ul][*]Easy to start[*]Very smooth[*]Almost NO vibration in the mirrors (much better than KLR650)[*]Did great on very muddy roads[*]Power is fine[*]Keeping at 4000 rpms.....NO Way. I shot for 5000.[*]Suspension is very good. I would not want it any "stiffer"[*]Seat may need more padding ....for me.....my butt is tender[*]I think I got around 50 mpg[*]A larger tank is in my future[/ul]
Overall..........I LOVE IT !!!! The KLX250s is exactly what I thought it would be.....an awsome trail bike. It does just what it was built to do .........and does it with style. I cant wait for the next ride.
Thanks

btw, you still didn't answer my question. I'm assuming because you were concentrating so hard on your sarcastic response. I guess if you come on here with that as your opening attitude I won't bother to help you out when you ask about gearing, jetting, exhausts, free mods, getting your oil filter spring thingy to stick when re-installing it, adjusting your suspension and what's important to do first before you do that, etc..........
