Wow!! 14 is the new 25 Yikes!!!!

 

I really like my HMF Slip-On.

It makes the bike sound like a Honda though.....[&:]

 

Very nice look! Does this change make a difference on the bike's performance? and do you have a video?

 

Without the Quiet Core my HMF sounds more like a Harley - Yikes!

I think everyone is getting tired of the same old carb mods and muffler chit-chat?

 

When I close the throttle it backfires like a Harley. I have the 40 pilot and I even went 2 3/4 turns out and it still pops. I suppose I need to got to the next size up pilot. However the bike starts instantly, and runs like a raped ape so maybe I should leave it alone?

 

FM, did you check to see if you have a small exhaust leak at the header to slip-n connection - I know mine did and was popping until I sealed the inside joint with Permatex.

 

Good point. How do I check to see if it is leaking?

 

Some wait until the exhaust is cool to touch then start the bike up and use a wet finger to feel any blowby or blow some smoke on it - works either way.
