Default New Exhaust

So here it is. It has taken many months to find the right setup for the Q2. Last night I installed the FSW head pipe and the slipon and began the adventure of re-jetting. Actually it wasn't that bad. I was able to get the carb out, swap out the main and pilot jets, and install the Kouba T-handle fuel screw in about 2 hours time. I was getting things readyinstall the N1TC needle when I found out that I did not have a 7/64 drill bit for the slide vent hole. As it was nearing midnight I quit for the day. This evening is of course already planned for finishing it and hopefully getting it started.

At least we know now that the Q2 is an option for our bike. Albietnotas inexpensive as a Muzzy or BG.

Looks sharp. Do you have the capability to record and post the sound?

Regards,
Donnie

I plan to get a sound file or maybe a movie clip to share once I get it running. I did start it before I took it apart for re-jetting and reved it up to about 5K in the garage. I didn't think that it was too loud. We'll see once it's on the road though.

I had Jerry at FSW modify the Q2 to fit withhis head pipe.Jerry said that he would do the mods and install mounts for the heat shield for free ifthat's whatit tookto sell one of hishead pipes. I assume that deal is repeatable for anyone else. I would rate the fit about a 9 on a scale of 10. He has not been able to get a KLX250S into his shop so I think he jigged in on something else (not sure though). I did have to remove the right side foot peg and then of the left (one isn't of much use). I might have to tweak the position of the canister as it might be a little too close to the inside of the plastic panel. All in all they are workable issues and I'm lovin the look and sound.
