Good grief, dan...what a worn out pile. Do you ever do any service?

Seriously though, that's nasty looking on the plug. Did you feel any "fatness" if it's running rich?...blubbering at certain points or such? Dan, on fuel lines, if you can find that gray Motion Pro fuel line, it's amazing stuff. It stays pliable, yet it's really tough.

Thanks for the tip on the motion pro line, I will order some.
Bike seems like it has always run great, with the exception of the hiccup/backfire issue that I think caused the crankcase failure i had. No bog, no popping on decel, no negatives, just a little soot at the end of the muffler. I have thought it was rich for quite a while but hated to mess with it because it ran so well. The video from the club grounds was the last time the bike was run.
Today I ended up lowering the needle one notch, but didn't get a chance to test it out.

It was cool out this morning and I think I may have flooded it when trying to start it, also the plug that I put in there when i rebuilt the engine is one step "cooler" than stock. I really don't think that has any bearing until the engine is at operating temps.

Nice trail... reminds of the woods near my old house in Washington state.

Nice video! Good show of what the klx is capable of. I ride some tight mountain bike trails occasionally, but nothing that tight.

Went back out to the club grounds today. Me on the reworked KLX and my son on his Honda crf 70. KLX ran like a champ, didn't notice much difference from the lowered needle, but I was riding slow. I only followed my son and a buddys kid around the loop, to make sure they didn't get hurt. Slow speed stuff, so hard to judge engine performance.
