Heck yeah, there's nothing like a lite two-smoke

If u don't mind me asking, what kinda riding do you do and how much do ya weigh? Thought about a bike like that for off-road-only here in GA.
Iweigh about 195 lbs, and do a lot of trail riding up here in CT. Not latley now though due to the trails being closed for the season. Probably won't take it to some of the places i go to with real tight, technicaltrails. The two smoke family loves to be revved up and ***** to the walls, and it is just not practical for some of the places I ride. However, for more open trails, fields, and tracks, that where the real fun in 2 strokes come out.

Very nice, first thing I would buy for that bad boy is a pipe universal pipe guards to keep the pipe from getting crushed. Only thing is I can't seem to find anything. I'm sure you have seen them, aluminum, with slots cut in them so you can custom fit it to your pipe. Where are they? It seems that the only thing our there is Carbon Fiber.
A pipe guard and some hand guards will definatley be the first mod!

yeah no plate is the major problem. if i could have plated it i would not have bought a klx. the kdx is definatley a better bike performance wise. i had an 03 200 that i put over a 1000 miles on in the dirt and never put a dime into the motor. a friend needed a bike so i sold him that one and bought the 220. not even a month later i found this forum and just had to get the klx. i got the 220 off of some noob who put ALL the goodies on it. he had no idea how to ride and told me he never got the bike out of 3rd gear. if you saw the bike you would have believed him to. he put 140 miles on it before he sold it to me and i did one ride for about 15 miles. it's a great bike but no plate makes it a pain in the *** to go out riding with it since i'm used to just riding out of the garage to go to where i want to ride.

Your 220 sure sounds nice, Craig, but like you I don't think I'd ride nearly as much if I had to truck or trailer the bike every time I went. If I'm lucky I can get home from work with a little bit of daylight left and get in some riding at least two or three times during the work week. That would not be possible if I had to load the bike, truck it somewhere, unload - by that time it would be dark. Street legal is pretty much a must for me. If I had a farm or some land where I could ride without hauling, I'd be all over it, though.

that's a sweet bike dude and you did steal it.hard to believe that CR has more horsepower than a stock DRZ. That 125 has around 38 rwhp. Course it has no torque, but being a 2-stroke it isn't supposed to. Move up to 250 or 500 and whoa nelly, no more arms and there suddenly is torque. Even the latest 450's cant keep up with the 2-stroke 250's in the hp race. Nice bike and congrats.

Nice steal on the CR...some tips to make a fun woods bike out of it.An FMF fatty pipe a rejt and a Steahly flywheel weight works wonders on the little motors. The flywheel weight really makes it smooth out the abrupt hit and the fmf pipe really fattens up the bottom end....it works really well. The pipe guards can be had from DG for a low price and they work great and are really a needed item it you run woods because a dented pipe can actually hinder your motor and over time could damage it.Just remember that certain 2 cycle oils cannot be used under 40 degrees...so keep the synthetics in mind.have fun and play hard....soon you'll just keep tinkering with it....hey they wheelie really nice but just keep alot of clutch plates around as those things do like to eat them when ridden properly....the clutch is the key to the 125.
