New 09 KLX250S owner: Plastics from a '14 fit?
Hi all! I just got a 09 KLX250S from a buddy here in Houston and I need some advice to bring it up to snuff.
She's mechanically fine, but she was a trail bike, and the previous owner didn't care about her looks. I want to replace the plastics, but 09 plastics are hard to find.
Does anyone know if the '14 plastics will fit?
Thanks!

Yes.. and I'm unaware of any changes all the way up through the 2018. If you want to buy new... price each model year. I needed to buy a white sideplate for my '09 and found that the part number for one of the other years was about half the price of the '09 part number.
Edit: BTW, be prepared for 'sticker shock'

Ever consider doing a wrap? Get some vinyl material from a sign shop, clean and buff the plastics smooth, and apply whatever wrap you want. Camo or carbon fiber look. Probably way less cost than plastics. The stuff is flexible and stretchable/shrinkable with a hair dryer on high. The stickers I have made are relatively imperious to weather and sun. Have a couple on the back windows of the truck and they're surviving well in spite of being in the elements 24/7. I use the 3M good stuff.
just found out that the rear side covers cost less on the newer year models. (note some years the same plastics cost change depending on color)
thx for that tip since i need rear covers and front

They will fit just fine.. I'm pretty sure that is what I ordered to replace one of mine. Be advised, they will be just the bare side cover.. no grommets, stickers, or heat shield material... I just transferred everything from my cracked side plate (I run bare white plates.. no stickers).
