BTW - Bad Bear beat me to the punchline on checking the plug. I know that a properly tuned engine will show a light chocolate brow coloring on the plug insulator, whereas an engine that's running rich will have a black soot covered plug. Don't know off hand what a lean plug looks like.

I was on the HMF site just now looking for some carb removal pics. While there, I found a page with a procedure for jet testing similar to what Bad Bear described. I have not read through it yet, but I though this might help.
