The bikes are virtually identical except for a few changes every year, and it's not the motor. Go to the KLX250S page, in the top window, 2nd from the bottom is a pdf manual for a couple of years. Use them, that's what I did for my 07 351 build, it's still running. My back is out so I can't ride it right now.

 

Thanks buddy, much appreciated. Do you know what the D-tracker is? Is this a sub model in all the years?

 

It looks like a D-tracker is the super moto version of the dirt bike. The wheels/disks/some suspension parts are different, but 90% of the bike is the same.
