Default Need some opinions on a trade I might make!

I have a 2008 KFX450R sport quad with mods and extras. I was offered a trade on a 2009 KLX250S with 1900 miles, stock, looks real clean. I would probably get more use out of the bike riding it to work, but I will miss the major torque of the quad. Right now I believe the quad has more value but down the road I wonder if that will change. Any opinions on what I should do?

If it were me, I wouldn't worry so much about the value as the utility. Which would you use more, what do you want a bike or a quad for?

Thats the great thing about the Dual Sport feature of the KLX, ride it to work, like I do everyday, and hit the gravel and trails after work and on the weekends. Its the best of both worlds man! Oh and welcome to the forums, plus.....BONUS!!!!! you get to hang out with us, and that my friend is priceless. So there's that.

I would also consider if you plan on adding some mods. You'll be dumping some money if you do. Might be worth trying to get a few bucks xtra for your quad if you have mods added to it.

BUT.... Like deej mentioned. Look at the xtra perks you get here.

Trades and values are not perfect science, but check the KBB book value for the bike and quad if they have it (not sure they do ATVs?) and I'm a big fan of checking out finished ebay sales and looking at Craigslist prices. . Look what comparable things have sold for recently... if the values are off, do a bit of negotiating... unless you find out it's tipped in your favor, then act like you're barely doing it, and ride away fast
