Unexpected benefit of loud exhaust: It can help you sell your bike when people hear you!

I'd like to hear how you like the DR-Z compared to the KLX, too. How's the power, handling and weight in comparison?

I am planning on riding one this weekend to try it out.

well at first the power seemed like alot more than the klx but it took me 2 days to get used to it. when i first romped it in 2nd gear it started coming up a little. something my klx never did.

handling is like night and day. even though my klx had stiffer front springs and heavier oil, it still seemed too bouncy. when i rode with my buddy and his drz, the klx just got blown away in the straights and the curves. now that i'm on a drz, i'm right with him for the most part.

don't get me wrong, the motarded klx was the perfect commuter and city bike because you couldn't really get too jiggy on it. i can see me getting in trouble with my drz but i've been taking it easy anyway. wife and child keep me in check. still gotta watch out for the cell phoners and stupids.

i was completely happy with my klx but when someone offered me what i paid for it, i added a 1000 and got my drz. i'm diggin it now for sure.

here's my past, present, and future.

hoping to get one of these next...

Ahh good comparison, not that I am not satisfied with the klx just always wondered what the drz was like.

We have two OEM slip-ons that we just yanked off our '09 KLX's if you haven't found one...
