With the handlebars, in the image below the Fork line is the blue line and the rider line is the Yellow line? To set your handlebars up, you want the yellow line to be parallel to the blue line (as they are in the image)? Setting your bike up like this is the way the pro's do it and it:
1) Makes the bars taper flex as they re designed - max flex = max comfort.
2) Stops the steering from cranking as the bar is turned.

As far as the uniqueness of the CR High bend goes, check out the Renthal Application Chart (Twinwall® 1 1/8" Handlebar)

All the various "bends" have different bar widths, rise and heights of the bend, and sweep. It's a matter of trial and error to find the one that suits you best - I tried a mates bike with the CR High bend and liked it so that's why I went that route. I am 6'1" tall and 125kg's so need the space to move around in.

Good stuff Arctra. Did not know the "proper" alignment technique. Thanks.

Yea thanks Arctra! Very useful info. I will do some research on this. So far I have no complaints about my bars BUT I know as soon as I find the right bar, I will wonder why I didnt do this much sooner!

Sounds like the atv bars are better than the kx and cr bends? I heard you have to get different cables since the bars are higher too. I would like to not have to get new cables.

Renthal 7/8" 966. Renthal's most popular bar. Great bars, huge upgrade. 1/2 waffle soft grips.
