+1 on finger mullet. and +1 on teh cool buckshot idea. Assuming dirt riding, get on your feet more, and move the bike with your weight, guiding the bike with your steering.

Now if you Wwwaantt aaa VvvvVIiiiBbbBbrrrRaatingG SOB ride ktm lc4 like my addv....see II'mm stiLLl vvibrating. That biatch will make your numb in seconds with a death grip....just sayin.
lol... What a great read!

+1 on technique; just loosin up and keep chaning position.

+1 on the Deej solution, I did the same thing coming back from Kern after the White Water Rafting. After ~150+ miles I had my hands in the same position for too long and I used same Thumb technique Deej described... worked well on the paved road . Just loosen the grip on the dirt road.

I like the buck shot idea, make a dead blow hammer out of your bars. good thinking. The bike is kinda heavy anyways

Now that is funny.

Do you think it would seem weird if half way through a trail ride, I go behind a tree to re-acquaint myself with the "stranger"

not at all...after all, a stranger is simply someone you dont know yet. you should always try to meet new people.
