My first tyre change!

So my tyres we practically on their last legs and I decided its time to get them changed.
In the past, I would usually pass the job onto someone else to get it done. After watching hours of youtube tutorials, I thought I'm going to give it a go!

Took no longer than an hour to change the rear tyre, but it is my first time.
Actually really enjoyed :) next job for tomorrow is to change the front.

Learned quite a lot and had fun!

That's the one...
There cheap and easy to get a hold of so I've stuck with them for a while now.

Holy crap. You ever turn your bike?....LOL The side knobbies are still new...LOL

Hey, That AC10 looks really nice. I ride a lot of soft sand, plus I need DOT due to riding in State Forest land. I'm kinda happy with the Kenda 760 Trakmaster on the rear, and was thinking about the Kenda 780 Southwick for the front. Most of the guys that race enduros in my area really talk up these AC10's. I may just try that up front. I really need to replace my D606 front tire cuz it Sucks in soft terrain. Are you mounting an AC10 on the front too? If so, could you please post a few pics of it mounted on your bike for me? I haven seen one mounted yet. I'd appreciate it if you could.

Thank you....:)

So today I installed the front tyre, that thing did not go on easy!
After lubing it and I managed to slip in, while catching the inner tube in the process yaaaay!!!

I had to go to the bike shop to get a new inner tube.
While I'm there ill have them fit it right? .

I've learnt what to do and what not to do in the future, so its all good :)

Sure, if you need any shots closer up just let me know.

The AC10's are probably the cheapest and easiest tyre to get a hold of here so that's primarily the reason why I run with with them.
I do mostly road riding and they seem to last a good 12 month, I don't like the look of road tyres on a dual sport so gotta stick with those nobblies. :)

What did you use to lube the tire bead?

Fairy soap lol

I started doing my own tire changes last year... After watching a few very good YouTube videos, the process went very smoothly... But it is easy to pinch a tube... Longer tire irons (3 of them)are a god send, and baby powder on the tube, in addition to the lube :)
