Default Muzzy repack

Several folks have asked about repacking the Muzzy silencer, and I suspect mine is getting close to needing it so I called up Muzzy today and you can buy the repack kit from them for $25. That includes the rivets, or so he said. The guy I spoke with said it doesn't require a special riveter gun, standard hand operated riveter will work. I went ahead and ordered a kit. You need to call them to get it - you can't order it from their web site. Next time I'll probably source the parts myself but for this first time I decided to get the parts from Muzzy so I'll know exactly what to get next time.

Nobrakes:
How many miles do you have on the Muzzy? Might be time for me as well.

I'm not sure how many miles. I've had it for about 6 months or so. I think it might be getting a tad bit louder, so that was my tip-off that it might need serviced.

I have about 1500 miles ago, 1586 to be exact, since I installed the Muzzy. Mine has started to get louder, but I don't mind. But I will re-pack if I have to.

I'm sure doing the Muzzy is probably similar. Does cussing and questioning its mother's virtue help any? That's usually what I do when faced with a difficult job and it usually seems to help.

I'm over 2000 miles on the Muzzy for sure and it does seem louder. Not by much though.
