ORIGINAL: KLX250dualsporter
I bought a KLX250 about a week ago and it kicks ***! It could use some more power though so im going to mod it and crank out some more ponys. I was just wondering what everybodys opions are on witch pipe i should go with. as well as any other tips to make this thing scream.
-Thanks

muzzy or biggun are the best fitting and performing pipes in the mainstream at affordable prices. there are slip-ons which help with weight- muzzy, hmf, and biggun.you'll need a 300 headpipe since it's longer and they don't make a 250 only slip-on muzzy- the hmf and bg i'm not sure. the hmf has terrible fitment problems and some say it's large but it is nice looking and appears to be a well built unit. older big guns may corrode since the old ones aren't stainless however the new bg pipes are said to be stainless. we've all been down this road before. just do a search and read till your hearts content. it's all moot basically. anything's better than the stock straw. also, don't forget the 13-tooth front sprocket and Uni-Filter air filter. use the search function, it's a god for newbies.
you want a cheap performance route? get a 300 muffler and head pipe- the 300 muffler with buttlug removed makes great power and it's a lot lighter than the 250's concrete block with cat/conv.
you want nice looking, lost weight, better sound, and a bit more power? get a slip-on, keep oem header.
you want all out performance? buy a full system- the best flow, most power, your best investment imo as a slip-on is nearly 80% the cost of a full system.
