Alright so im pretty sure my midrange is still lean (especially since i just did the kdx snorkel). Low throttle/idle is good because i turned out the a/f screw a little top end is good because of the 250 jet. So i want to drop the clip on the needle one slot, can someone give me the best way/directions to do this? I think removing the carb again wont be necessary just the seat and gas tank to access the top of the carb right?

You are correct, you won't have to remove the carb just the fuel tank to access the needle. I've done it twice before without a drama. Just be mindful when reinstalling the diaphragm not to pinch it.

Alright so i shimmed the needle .030 using kawasaki part number 92022-1003 if anyone needs it. Surprisingly i did not have an issue resintalling the diaphragm everything went back together nicely (i heard it is difficult to reinstall them due to it expanding). A few questions there is a small hole next to the needle hole on the bottom (carb side of the diaphragm) and it can face closer or more away from the motor depending on which direction you slide the diaphragm back into the carb does it matter which way this hole faces? and what does it do?
The results after installing the shim are : Def better throttle response from idle to 1/3rd throttle 1/2 to 2/3 throttle about the same maybe a little better (there maybe a very slight surge around half throttle from running a tad rich now) 3/4 to full throttle about the same maybe a little better
IM thinking of getting a highflow airfilter (for slightly better airflow now that i have the needle shimmed any recommendations on an airfilter?)
My mods are Yoshi Rs-2 slip on, kdx 200 snorkel 250 main jet idle a/f screw turned out 1/3rd turn more than stock and the .030 shimmed needle everything else is stock temps are between 60-80 and elev is between 500-1500 feet. Do my mods seem right for the carb setup or do i need some more airflow?
