Default Moto gp at Indy

A group of us are planning to head down to Indy forthe moto gp race this year. Anyone here have alot of experience in the area during race weekends?Sounds like it's right in the middle of the city so I figure camping and riding in would be tough, if riding's even a good idea. What am I saying, of course it's a good idea. Anyways, any tips on lodging, exploring, camping, things tosee, gained from experiencewould be great. It does seem a little early to be thinking about it when it's f'in winter but the first year at Laguna was so rediculously crowded I figure Indy will be similar and things will fill up in a hurry. Thanks, Charlie

Default RE: Moto gp at Indy

I suspect Indy can handle the crowds better than anywhere else in the US. Decide on what you want to do for lodging now and book it ASAP while you still have cheaper options. I got a good room for a F1 weekend a couple of years ago in the north part of town for only $35 a night. I was only 10-15 minutes from the track and didn't mind the drive. Downtown is a blast and will be a huge party but it cost big $$ to stay close to it. Keep us informed on your trip, as many of us wish we could go.
