More dealer fun from Icanrideabike
I went to the dealer today i was scared it went as well as i exspected. he threw up a number 6,000 when i asked. Then i was saying stuff like my brother just bought a bike here and I called just a couple days ago they said it be under 5000. Then he was talking that he could go into the office and ask for 5000.00. I said ask for 4700.00. Then I left I told him i was still looking the bike mabye a little high for me,just an inch id have to tiptoe at stop lights.
All this didnt mean nothing to me cause i only have 4100.00. My next step is to sit on it and mabye try to drive it. This guy wasnt to bad he was better then the guy I asked for a quote online, making **** up.He had two sold one.ahahaha.

There is no reason you can not get a KLX250S OUT THE DOOR for under $5000.
$6000? What is he doing to you?
A real dealer will not charge you for setup, freight or crating. That is part of doing business.
I have always thought MSRP plus applicable taxes was a guideline for purchasing a bike. Any bike.

My tiny dealer sold me one in the crate, meaning he put it together right out of the crate for me per my request. He knocked $300 off msrp and otd it was $4675. $6000 for a KLX250 is absurd. Dealers down here in Des Moines are selling KX250F and CRF250's for $5999. The KLX is nice, but it's no $6000 machine, I don't care if it would come with a KX250F engine in it. It's essentially a 12 year old design that still looks killer imo. As Kramer said, "retail's for suckers".
Where do you live? Maybe one of us could go into the dealer where we got ours and help you out? I'm in Northern Florida, I'd be happy to go with you if you're near.
@ $4499 (the original price I gave you ie: $200 off) I am making $355. I'll get you 15% off of a helmet, and a $50 credit towards it. That is the best deal I can do. I've had 2 dealers call me today looking for this bike, which leads me to belive it will sell @ msrp, and its my last one til at least October-November. These bikes don't make us a lot of money, but they do earn customers and or let me have leverage if I need something I can make some money on from another dealer via a trade. Let me know if we have a deal. It will be $5480.26 OTD plus you recive a $50 credit toward a helmet.
Thanks Again,
this is the best he could do.

It will save you money in the long run.
