RE: mod help
i had to make that, i didnt just want to leave a big hole under the new tail light, so i made that to cover it up, and those are just regular old bolts with locking nuts..Make sure you use shrink wrap on the wires.

Eric-
Trying to not sound like a complete idiot...............Does the tail-light plastic attatch with seperate bolts or the ones you have holding that nice plate on with!
AND............what exactly did you use to fabricate that plate...looks like it has a grit or abrassive surface to it........
I'm sure you just used a cardboard cutout for size but it looks veryeven as far as thickness goes......
Perhaps a hint for this NOOB.........would like this to be my next mod and if you've read how much trouble I had with the front tire........well....let's just say.....I could use the help!!!!

RE: mod help
If you look at deej's last pic, there is two small screws in the top of the new tail light that we just screwed into the fender above the hole from the old fender, and there is one more small bolt that is hidden under the license plate you can see in my last pic. Another thing, when i got that new tail light the mounting surface for the plate was really long, alot bigger than i wanted i think i cut like 1 1/2" off the bottom of the plastic to shorten it up. That plastic is just a from a sheet of abs that my buddy bought to do some custom radio/tv installation in a car, i saw it and said that would be perfect, ill try to find a link ill ask him where he got it, it was pretty inexpensive, you could even just use plexiglass and spray paint the underside black or even kawi green if you wanted, that would be the same thing, those bolts i have pictured to hold that plate in, they are not very tight at all that plastic is only like 1/8" thick.
