I'm considering new turn signals which are LED's from Baja designs. They said they should work if I still use a filament style signal in the front but to be sure, I should know the flasher wattage rating. WTF? What is this all about? I would like to put the little LEDs on the front and back but he said that I might need to change the flasher relay or something. Do any of you know about this stuff..Thanks

 

led's use a lot less power to operate than regular bulbs, so if you use them, they will blink faster bc of less resistance. a lot of people wire a resistor (i'm guessing you would need to a resistor that had the aproximate resistance of a regular filimant bulb) inline to make them flash normal, or i think, like you said, a different flasher is available. there are some i think that have multiple leds in the blinker that are wired together to create the same resistance as a regular bulb so they'll flash normal. i would do a google search on leds and resistors to find out some more info. keith
