Default Mileage report

Hi y'all.

I just passed 54,000KM (33,480 miles) on my 2006 D-tracker (overseas motard version of KLX), so I thought I'd check-in and share that info just in case someone wanted to know.

I've had the bike since new and it hasn't given me a single problem. The only maintenance done has been regular oil and filter changes as well as f/r sprockets and chains...oh and one battery at about the 30K mark, but winters are cold here and I run high performance cams that don't have an ACR. Most miles have been on tarmac, but I'm not at all easy on the engine. I'm also running the KLX300 cylinder.

Wow...........I would love it if my bike lasts for that many miles.

I think you currently hold the record on here.

I average about 2000 miles a year on mine, that means mine would last me another 15 years.

2000 a year, you need to go play more. Last year I put 6,000 just in riding to work and back (40 miles a day) my 09' SF is at 7,500 and counting but that 351 kit is looking pretty tempting for a winter add on.

Yeah, thats the sucky part, I only live 3 miles from work. So my commute doesn't add up much. Plus, I live in an area where you can only ride for about 8 months out of the year.

I would ride it all the time if I could.

And I thought 15,000 was a lot. Holy shnikies!!! Good job buddy. But I have to say, for that many miles you are really slacking in the ride reports.

Awesome! What are the frequencies of your preventive maintenance?

Wow! That's alot of miles. I'm happy to hear it's still going strong. Based on your location where you live, are you by any chance stationed at the local Air Force Base.
