Mikuni TM33-8012 carb kits
Bill Blue and Stroker both offer Mikuni TM33 carb kits. I was envisioning blipping the throttle and lofting the front wheel over an obsticle toaster oven sized.
Stroker has a kit that includes a Motion Pro twist throttle & cable.
Bill Blue machines special parts for the carb to clamp the rubber boots to.
Can anyone tell me the advantages of one over the other?

Just trying to find info before I purchase to make the install go easier. Cable bracket interference w/ the fuel tank issues, carb length differences, jetting specs, which kit is easier to install & what mods worked better, also any problems that can be aleviated before hand would be appreciated.
I know that this will help get more grunt to lift the front wheel up off idle. The stock cvk carb doesn't flow the fuel as well in those situations since vacuum is low at that point, and it doesn't have an accelerator pump to get fuel into the motor.
any experienced klxers out there?
Thanks, Mike

IMO, doing the 300cc kit is what really paid off. The rejetted stock carb with the big bore totally brought the bike to life on the trail and the road. Of course you're looking at more money. Several guys I ride with have the Bill Blue Mikuni TM33 carb and my bike dances around them with the rejetted stock carb!
Read this, it might help!

I totally agree with you KC - the 300cc kit with the rejetted Keihin CVK carb is the way to go! From everyone I know that went with the Mikuni the biggest complaint was they were constantly adjusting and rejetting it to get it right - not worth the hassle factor.

Everything adds something.
I have now both the 300 and the 33 pumper. (along with BG full system)
It's a better bike now than it was with just the 300, exhaust and a re-jet.
I didn't try carb before the 300 kit so I can't really comment on what to do first.
I got mine from Bill Blue, no issues at all.
Fit is good, bored to 34 but jetting was way off for my situation.
I'm sure Stroker do a fine job also.
Result?

But my bet is eventually you will do both.
It's all good.

i have the bill blue carb and vortex throttle. i'm running a Q4 slip-on with a kdx 47 tooth rear sprocket. knowing what i now know after 3000 dirt miles i would have done the big bore before anything else. this set up is better than stock but not by much. if your looking for power you have to go with the big bore. my2 cents
Thanks for the info. Alot of good experience derived answers.
Definitely go big bore first, will the 300 kit bolt on to an 09?
Then the pumper carb. Depending on what size BB TM33 for the 300, 36mm carb for the 331/340
