Default meguiars dynacone

I had been neglecting my rear wheel.

I had been using Blue Magic Silicone based wheel cleaner, which cleaned, but had a dull water resistant finish when done.

I have recently switched to Motul chain lube, and if you don't go word for word by the directions, it will leave a sticky residue on your rear wheel and spokes.

Which is exactly what happened to my rear wheel, and polishing with hand was a fruitless effort.

I explored options from D/A foam pads, to Mothers power ball.

The mothers power cone did not seem like it would hold up to really vigorous polishing.

I can attest that meguiars dynacone will hold up, it rid my rear wheel of sticky residue.

It comes in a kit for $23 at Walmart, $7 than mothers power cone, and comes with foam pad cleaner, and wheel polisher.

its made like a nerf ball, but in a cone shape. and has a extension shank to reach anywhere on the wheel.

the only spots I couldn't get with the dynacone were around the end of the spoke where it tightens into the wheel. I might just have to scratch those bits off with a finger nail.

afterwards instead of rubbing the dirt back into the wheel I just used car soap and a rag, and cleaned the wheel completely.

The KLX has an O ring chain. You don't need to use a messy chain lube. Some light penetrating oil or similar to keep it from rusting and the O rings from drying out is all you need.
