Default MASTERLINKS

Does anybody have an opinion on using more than one master link on a standard 520 chain, going from a 49 toooth rear sprocket to a 51 and really dont want to purchase a new chain.

I can't imagine why it would be a problem.

+1 to that... the master link has to be as strong as a regular chain link, so i dont see a problem either.... but im no expert...

I got an idea Are you interested in selling me your 49 tooth and 520 chain? I was planning on going 14-48 but a 49 would work for me I think. I need more twist than 13-42......we could both save a few bucks and you won't have to rig a chain.

email is owenb@repassociates.com

ps I'm going snooking in a few so I won't check my email till tomorrow (Fri) am. But I can post on the net remotely.

Wont be worth selling, you can get the sproket and chain for $38 at rocky mtn atv.Youll love the performace of the 49 tooth the only reason im going to a 51 is to be able to climb the local power lines in thrid gear and not have to keep down shifting mid way up.
