Default Manual Supplement question

I bought the regular manual for our bike but, not the supplement yet. I am having a big bore (Bill Blue 330 & his modded carb) put on soon and wanted to know if the supplement is needed for this?

Hello All!

I am having the big bore kit installed early next week.

Can somebody that has the manual supplement take a quick look and see if I might need to give any info to the mechanic, that isn't in the regular manual that He might need to swap the jug, remove the head etc....

the supplement is for the d-tracker. it's all you really need. it has all the important stuff like torques and all the schematics. the suspension section is different than the regular manual but it appears that everything else is the same. i haven't used either one yet so i might be wrong on that.

The supplement is missing all kinds of stuff from the regular manual. that's why it's the "supplement".
It has mainly just the differences.

if the supplement is just the differences then i would say that your mechanicmight need to see it. it's about half as thick as the regular manual and covers most everything. that's a lot of differences.

I have both manuals. I've installed the 300 cylinder, changed one valve shim, and tinkered with the suspension settings. I haven't used the supplement yet...

The suppliment is not just for the D-tracker.

The original service manual covers 1993 - 1996 KLX250/R.
The suppliment covers 1999 - 2006 KLX250 AND D-Tracker, part of which includes everything that is different about the KLX250S (H6/7 series), which is mainly the electrical system, and anti-smog equipement.Let's not even get into the e-start and differentexhaust.

I wouldn't say that adding the 300/330 jug requires the suppliment, butit's nice to haveon the shelf for other repairs/maintenance/mods.
