Default low seat anybody?

Hi is there a low seat option for the klx250?
I know I could get mine redone, but I was wondering if there was any aftermarket one?
Is it the same seat as a klx300?

I don't think there are any aftermarket seats available in the U.S. for the KLX.

Your best biet is a do-it-youself project or, like you said, sending it to one of those places that specialize inreplacing and re-shapingthe seat foam on the stock pan. That gets a bit pricey though. I'm sending mine in to Renazco for rework in a couple of weeks. They do a great job but they're not cheap. They specialize in dual sport seats. Most places give you choice of the low or high shaped seat. Renazcooriginally was going to make my seat 1" lower than stock height, based upon my 'riding inseam,' but after talking to them for awhile about ergonomics as well as my long road trips and nearly 100% slab ridingwe both agreed that thethe stock height would be better. If Irode more off-road, I would have opted for the low cut. Anyway, they make a very comfortable seat without turning it into some owlbutt shape that is hard to move around on for off-rode use.

It all depends upon what's important to you and how much you're willing to pay.

I'm pretty sure the 300 seat pan won't come with the front metal clip that latches into the gas tank. I say this because the 300 has a plastic tank and I'm pretty sure there'd be nothing there for it to latch on to.

The more I ride the less sitting down I have been doing lately but......my fear is that if you "flatten" out your seat it will get too hard. You do have the option to lower the sag down too.

Yeah, my official answer on the KLX300 seat is 'I don't know' [8D]. However -now that Byant mentioned it- I seem to remember BMWHD and Nobrakes saying something about a strap that holds down the front of the the KLX300 seat wheras ours slides that u-shaped metal retainer over that track on the tank. I doubt it would be very tough adapting the 300 seat to our bike though.

Thank you all.
I'll get it to a local shop here.
We'll see what we can do!

KLX300 seat pan is the same. When I was going to send my KLX seat off to Renazco, I wanted another seat to use while Renazco had mine so I bought a KLX300 seat off e-bay and it is the same. Just no strap - at least that's all I could tell of the difference.
