It's the 1200 pelican case, and those bottles just barely fit in there, They are only 22 oz each, but with reserve and those bottles I should be able to get back from the trails and roads I ride on. I do have a 3rd bottle that is 33 oz that I could easily throw in a backpack.

I like the looks of that IMS tank but, they aren't generally available in the US. They also seem sort of expensive at about $300 once you get the petcock and any other odds and ends you need. This is something Kawasaki should fix at the factory.

I am also worried about heat build up. Those little fans didn't sound like they would hold up to me. With some dust and dirt, or one good monsoon rain, would they still work properly? Arizona gets really hot and I will spend some time in bumper to bumper grid lock traffic so, I am concerned about modifying the factory radiator heat dissipation parts.
You can get them from http://www.motorsports-network.com, part number 113124-N1 for the neutral color tank. Green and purple are also avilable depending on your preference. The price there shows $199 but I thought for sure mine was cheaper - they were running a special at the time if I recall. I think it was $130'ish or something but I'm not 100% sure about that. Even at $199, though, I'd do it again. And yes, the KLX300 petcock is expensive. Maybe there are cheaper places - I got mine from http://www.bikebandit.com and they sure seemed like bandits with the price of that petcock.

Regarding the fans, my fans are just cheap $2.00 CPU fans, very easily replacable. BMWHD found some weatherproof fans of the same dimension that I plan to also get at some point that should hold up better, but so far I've not had any issues with them not working in dust or rain - and i really got a soaking the other day in a downpour coming home from work. I'm not worried about the fans - they work fine. My little fans have kicked on a couple of times and they've done their job and cooled the engine back down and then they kicked off. I've never had my engine temp light come on since installing them. They are small but the pair of them, with a little help of the aluminum flashing to direct the flow, blow a lot of air over the fins.

Agree. The IMS tank is the one you CAN get in the US. And it's in stock at a lot of places for $199 or less.

You could fit a Pingel petcock but their MORE expensive for this application than the OEM KLX300 unit. I don't know of any other solution that's available right now other than the IMS and it's really not a hard job at all.
