im looking for a new/second hand head for my klx250 99'. if you have a secret web site or know anyone with a wreck it would help heaps. im after just the head or minimal parts with it.

I can find you a head over here on auction. Usually, it comes with a whole engine. Shipping an engine to US costs about $100 for a whole engine. The engines usually sell for around $150 depending on the # of miles and condition. Here is one that I found today....

Looks like it's at a good price right now. The only irregular thing the seller reports is a 'small noise' coming for the top-end, which he/she thinks might be coming from the 'tappets.'

Worth taking a chance at that price though.

I knew where this was going before I even clicked the link.

 

There is no english version. I use yahoo babelfish translator, and it gets me enough info to understand the item. Like Tremor said, it claims there is noise in the upper area, like lifters rattling. It is probably the timing chain being a little slack.
