Default Looking to get a big bore kit....

Im looking to get a Kustom Kraft 330 kit for my klx250sf. I have a couple question. Hows the power? How reliable will it be? If you have owned or have ridden a klx with a 330 or 331 kit please respond. I also ride dirt bike rm125 (2-stroke) and rmz250 (4-stroke) and the klx just feels so slow....

I have done a couple mods fmf powercore 4, fmf megabomb, airbox lid gone, dynojet 128 main, k&n airfilter, 13t 44t.

I purchased the KK330 allready installed on a KLX250s with a FCR carb and Muzzy exhaust 14/45 gearing. I never rode the bike stock but I also have a KLX250sf for the GF that is fully stock. I find there is an amazing difference in the two bikes however I am sure that its not all the KK330. I see you have exhaust and gearing mods allready as well as rejet. I think you will be very happy witht he perfomance gains of the KK330. You may have to rejet though.

As to relability I have 6000miles in around 8 months since I recieved it. I dont know how many miles were in the 330 kit before I got the bike but I would assume it was at least half of the 3300on the ODO. So I think its relable.

What I would like to ask you is where you picked up the 44tooth rear sprocket. I cant find anything for sale less than 45t.

Cheers Jim

I have never heard a bad thing about a kk330 kit. But I went with the bill blue 331 kit and saved some $$. Now Bill has a 351 kit out.

The improvement was unbelievable. And you have the other mods to make it all work.

Jim,
I picked up the 44t at my local shop Zoom Cycles. www.zoomcycle.com

daveg,
With the bill blue kit are you running the stock carb?

Does the klx power wheelie out of corners with the 330 331 kit?

351 is made to run with the stock carb and head. All you do is swap out the cylinder.

I have around 3,000 on the k.k. Kit with no problems. Power is good enough to gas it and wheelie in 2nd with stock gearing. The only thing I don't like is the crazy vibration I get at 7K on the highway I keep it just under and it's smooth sailing. Super nice people to talk to also.

I've sold a few kits on this site in the past. My 331 kit sells for $499.95 plus shipping.

cpr1,
Sounds good. I will be ready to buy in about 3 to 4 weeks. What do you think the best carb and cams to use with the bb kit?

Is that a Nikasil lined cylinder or a cast iron bore?
