Longer front brake line (beside BB)
Not sure if they are the same but ive ordered stainless braided lines from summit racing before for my other bikes
you can select the length and they have an fittings on the ends so you just screw on the banjo fittings
if you need exact part numbers let me know I will have to search e mails to find it
I do know it may only be around $20-30 for the line, but like $8 each banjo fitting
so if you have other sources that are cheaper then use those

Why doesn't that help? I looked at their online catalog, and they offer stock and custom length lines and fittings to fit just about anything. I'm sure you have a reason for not considering BB, but I'm just curious as to why?
I'm considering the HEL from Wheeling cycle supply, but I need to call and get an actual length on it first... I need like at least 1" over stock, but maybe I should go longer just in case I go with bar risers later???

I'll let you know what they tell me.
TNC I'm considering the HEL because its coated so I dont have to worry about rubbing and abrasion.
You have the BB front brake line correct? Comments?

As to the performance of the line, it does what every braided line I've ever had does...crisper, quicker brake pad engagement with a more solid feel at the lever. Over the years I've used Galfer and some no-name brand braided lines, and they all seemed to work with equal quality and performance. Apparently BB can supply a longer line at request which may indicate he's making them at his shop or he has direct communication with his supplier.
Thump, the BB braided line I have is coated. I figured all his lines were coated. I ordered a straight replacement for my '06 from Bill, but it is still at least an inch longer. Plus I rerouted it to go behind the fork leg for most of its run. I think it may be hard to find a produced non-coated line anymore. Since they're like hacksaws, it seems like any line you buy these days that are not bulk material or homemade are already coated. Even some of the bulk line is coated from examples I've seen.

May just go with BB then, since its a bit cheaper anyways.
It would not be easy for me cause I don't know the length of my stock brake line, banjo types and thread pitch.
I'm looking for a "friendlier" type of buying process.
To answer your second question, I'll tell you that there's two simple reasons :
1- I can't place an order online from his site (I'm not comfortable enough in English to call him on the phone).
2- You said "Apparently BB can supply a longer line at request which may indicate he's making them at his shop or he has direct communication with his supplier. ". I've never heard something bad about BB's products, but when I use my front brake I want peace of mind and not to think about possible failure. DOT products are the way to go for me.
I got a +2 inch Galfer lines from Cycle Brakes. I called them up and told them what bike I had and that I wanted +2". I think you can do that via the email link on their website if you don't want to call them. They were really helpful and friendly.
