I know it has been discussed somewhere else in different threads but I was looking at putting together the reference numbers for each of the cables (and not different thread for different cables). Here is a list of the cables I think would need to be longer in order to fit a higher handlebar:
- Clutch
- Front break
- Throttle (x2?)

The electrical cables could probably be repositioned to get a few inches.

Could someone reply with reference numbers for each of the above cables (and I will do the same as I search the forum)?

Motion Pro will have no trouble making them for you. I just got my new throttle and clutch cables yesterday. As soon as I finish this, I'm going out to install them.

You need to call them for special orders. It'll cost you about $100.

 

$100 per cable?

Is there a reference number I need to tell them in order to get the correct part? Or just tell them "09 KLX250SF 3 inches longer clutch cable" and they would know?

 

And is the '06 different from the '09? Time for new bars, and the clutch cable is about to break so now's the time.

 

My 3" cables are just a touch too long. I'd go with +2"

And it's about $100 for the 3 cable assemblies. Comes with everything the stock cables have. There's no part number, they just know what you need.

Yes, I put on a 1 1/8 Renthal bar with small riser-adapters. I'll start a thread pretty soon describing my upgrades and my experience installing them. I really haven't had one thing go right yet. *sigh* It's getting worked out though.

 

Ordered it today... Just called Motion Pro at 650.594.9600 and told them I need 3 Inches longer cables for a 2009 KLX250SF and he knew what to order.
The prices are:
- Throttle Push -> 35
- Throttle Pull -> 35
- Clutch -> 40

Total of $110 + shipping (dont know yet but should not be crazy within the US).

 

Here's a picture of my setup. I wouldn't call the job "easy", but installing the cables wasn't that bad. They're just routed in a weird way.
