Default Linky to suspension info

I hate these searches or I just suck at it.

I'm looking for a thread with links to it for good suppliers and info regarding suspension upgrades. I'm 220lbs naked. way more than this bike wants.

I'm capable of suspension mods myself just looking for sources on correct springs and such.

Any thoughts or links would be appreciated...I'll keep combing thru the minutia of information.

This has been one of the best sources I've seen for a single, advisory, reference, tutorial on suspension theory, fact, and tuning. One of the site members here gave it to me a long time ago, and it's been the most useful. There are other good sources of info out there, but this guy put the issue in a more concise and understandable manner for me.

From that page:

KLX Special--lengthening both ends for more ground clearance and more travel plus a special shock spring to cure the poor linkage ratio problem.

Who makes this "special shock spring"? Or is it even offered anymore?

Not sure about that. That's something new I haven't seen on this site in the past. I'm betting it's a progressive rate spring. Give 'em a call and see what they say.
