Lets see where YOU ride.

I'll start....for me living in S. Florida, spots to ride are hard to find and kept secret. About 8 miles from my pad, on the way home from work btw ;), there's a little 65 acre lot that is my favorite spot to get rid of some work fustration.

If I'm in the mood for a little wot .... there's my sand pit, only 5 minutes from my pad. :D Ya ...I know that's two spots..lol

Wow! I'm jealous of all you guys and gals who have great riding areas right outside your backdoor. It sucksto live in a state that pretty much makes any open land off limits to motorized vehicles (except stinky 2-smoke snowmobiles, you can ride those fckrs anywhere you want in the winter around here... environmental concerns my a$$!)

Anyway, here's a google maps link to a little spot I like to hit sometimes. It's not exactly legal, but it's 5 minutes from my house and there are a bunch of good trails down in there. Once thesnowpack melts, maybe I'll actually take some pictures.

I thought that in VT all the dirt roads/paths that had the "trail, not maintained..." signs were open to allohv's (bikes, quads, sleds, etc). Have I been riding illegally up there?!

The land in my Pic's is all owned by the developer that I bought my house from. Everyone rides there but I never officially got permission. He has decided not to build any more houses in this section but he may sell the land off. I'm sure the new owner would put a stop to all the motorsports activity but for now I feel very lucky to have a great spot to ride.

Yeah....I would like to have that pic too on full resolution too! Where I live now theres almost no leaves trees...just pine, spruce and stuff like that...I do miss leave trees with all the colors they have at fall. I loved to ride in leaves like that on the ground and see them fly as I pass by...I do miss my native region too. please email it to me. trail70@globetrotter.net

Yep Tremor is spot on, Douglas Fir. Actually those trees are in the Olympic National Park near Lake Crescent. And really those are just mid sized trees in comparison to others around here. Gotta love those giants. And I'm glad they are protected, but I do imagine how many houses I could build with one, or how full my wood shed would be.:D

Thanks guys. Sorry EMS, I only have the 800 X 600 version. When I uploaded the pics to photobucket, I had to reduce them from their original 8 megapixel size, and somewhere along the line I deleted the originals.

EMS_0525 03-17-2008 02:51 PM

RE: Lets See a Pic of Your Favorite Local After Work Quickie Riding Spot

ah damn.... o well..... can u send it... photobucket resizes them automatically..... all of my original pics are full size. ;)

mustang 03-17-2008 03:09 PM

RE: Lets See a Pic of Your Favorite Local After Work Quickie Riding Spot

When I uploaded them to photobucket, the page said that there was 1Mb limit. That's why I downsized them. I didn't even try uploading them full-size. I just tried uploading a raw full size pic now and it worked fine. Thanks for the info!

I can email it to you, but I don't see how you can do that through the forum. I can add HTML links in a PM, but not attachments. Am I missing something?

You can always just right-click on it, then select Save Picture As... You'll get the same 800 X 600 pic I uploaded.
