Finally reunited with the Orphan. Spent the day installing a 6.6 spring on the rear shock to soften the ride for my portly a$$. Topped it off with the new skid plate and luggage rack for my cheese and beverages.

Nice......I have the same gear. One more suggestion: Ditch the stock pegs and get some wider DRC pegs....HUGGGGGE difference...AND ditch the massive semi-truck mirrors and get some DRC folding mirrors. If you do any trail riding at all, you will be so much more confident folding them out of the way! Enjoy. Beautiful bike.

KWJ- Yea those truck mirrors definitely got to go. I will replace the pegs in the next couple weeks. I would really like to replace the levers with some shorties. I had seen some on Amazon which are manufactured here in the USA but cant locate the vendor now.

KWJ- the previous owner had chopped the rear fender so I fabricated a bracked to mount the tail light and turn signals. Both were sourced on Amazon. The LED tail light also includes the turn signals on the outer portion. If the outer signals get destroyed on a ride the inner tail/brake/turn signals will still work for the ride home.

Nice! I like how you broke up the green on the rims. That must look cool (hypnotic) when crusing..
Couple of questions. The green skid plate, did you buy it green or paint it? And, what mirrors are those and where did you get them?

Skid plate is a swo tech that i had powder coated green (take a lot of abuse quite a few chips on the under side) and the mirrors are stock for 2012

Finally got around to getting the bike set up for daily fly fishing adventures. Can carry three different rods and reels, plus enough beer to stay hydrated. Hopefully the DMV gives me my real plates this week its been 9 weeks. Yes they lost my paperwork and i had to deal with the commissioner of the dmv directly, but the cops n sheriffs have been pretty cool in the surrounding towns
