I am running a pirelli MT43 4.00x18 on the rear. The front is a maxxis desert tire.
Thanks, I need something a little less aggressive than what I have but still have decent traction on rock and sand with occasional mud but also need to commute on tarmac.

I commute on mine and it does pretty well on rock and sand. I live in Idaho so there is plenty of desert and volcanic rock.
My magnetic charming personality hooked my friend into buying a klx250s with 72 miles on it. LOL NOPE😂 but she did ride my klx250s and liked it enough to go buy one of her own! She said she will be dropping it off for me to modify the machine similarly ... big bore kit, full exhaust, ims tank, carb kit or pumper carb & all the free mods.
The direction I went with was limited by the developement of products back in '09. Carb kit/exhaust system then big bore kit I'm thinking this time. The owner said it 'needed help' describing the oem performance I warned her it was 'anemic' .
I just dropped a 351 in my monster past fall after riding it stock for 3ish years. Not having much power makes you pick your lines and look for alternate routes better
Not exactly bad ***, yet... but it IS new. Lol Enjoying so far.
Got a KLX110 for my daughter and a KLX140 for the wife. Course I had to get the 250 due to its...uh-hum...versatility. Kiddo is learning. Bone stock. So far.
