Funny part is the KLX250S is assembled in Thailand but we can only get the green version as the red is for export only.

So my new to arrive hopefully in two weeks '09 will be FI and I think my options for mod'ing it are going to be very, very slim.

hey i think its the same for us indonesian, we only get the green version only.. modding FI? can we use something like "piggyback" thing that common installed for modded cars?

Something like a plug-in power commander to modify the setup for the FI. There is a post in this forum by one of our brethren in Misawa about one being worked up in Japan but the site is all Kanji so I can not read it. Nothing on it about the KLX though from what I could tell. It will take time before anything comes out for us unless the KLX goes FI in the US soon, but I'm not holding my breath.

It was also noted that when a Japanese Bike mag did a dyno run and included a pipe swap it actually lost power! Not sure how but there was mention of the O2 sensor being in the pipe somewhere so maybe it got pulled off during the pipe swap. It's something that I will be looking for on mine when I get my hands on her.

Worst case is I'll get a big bore kit and carb and go from there; Or I will just let be.

Eric

Here is my bike, pretty much as I got it. Only thing I changed was the wheels to blue instead of black, and the supermoto front fender and LED turn signals in front. Soon this bike will go into the garage for an overhaul, along with 331cc kit and supermoto brake kit install. While in there, I may strip it down and repaint the frame.

I haven't posted here in a while due to me being at the Police Academy, but I'm back now, and here's some pics of the ole KLX. Nothing too fancy, I think my mods are still in my signature, plus a maier rear fender, aluminum edge tailight, cyrca mx front fender, and some mini stalk turn signals.
