Thanks for the kind words.
I made the surround from a plastic cutting board and covered it in CF vinyl. I think it looks much better than having it all open around it. The power port works great for charging the iPhone...especially when using the GPS app.

I would definitely avoid mud with those tires but they do just fine at getting dirty
