Default Leaky oil fill cap

i noticed after my ride today i had oil leaking out from the fill location on my '07 Klx250s. Do these caps typically go bad? is this normal?

Can i use any o-ring or does it need to be rated for oil? Does Kawasaki have an OEM one?

18mm, but need to measure the cross section to get the right part. You could simply take it to a good hardware store and find a near match. Metric O-rings are hard to find, you probably could order one at Fastneal.

Kraken and auto zone sell a box of assorted o rings (they have the vacuum port caps for smog emissions parts removal too). I found one a little thicker in diameter that helped keep the seeping filler cap clean
