Default Late Sunday Ride With Pics!

Well I was sitting around yesterday afternoon watching my new flat screen, and the sun was out, and I mean it was a completely blue sky and warm out, as in 60 degrees. It was almost like a summer day. I told the wife that I had to get out. So I headed out to enjoy a couple of hours on some areas that I had never been to.

Look at that sky.....AWESOME!!!! Especially after almost 3 weeks of snow and ice.

I guess for today the wife's bike will not be going. If it's below 70 she won't ride.

First road I found was about 4 miles North of town, in what looks like a development or some sort of drilling project. Looks like they were digging to see how fast water drained, I'm not sure.

Another shot, anyone got an idea what this is? I think they poured concrete in and welded up the top. It has to be a well cap right?

Found a bike at the boat launch...

I was just about ready to leave the area when I found a trail, and well you know that you have to check it out right?

It opened up and was a great trail next to the river.

Ok since I knew a guy that is retired from the Forest Service who still builds trails for the park and other agencies I thought I would call him to see if he knew about this trail before I went on too far. His house is right across the river, and he told me that he did in fact make the trail and it only went in about a half mile, I asked if it was ok to ride it and he said absolutely. So on I went.

Well I got up the trail about another 100 yards and ran into this 24-30 inch tree across the trail so I turned around.

Ok so I head to another road that I haven't been on and found some cool areas. Found some logging sites.

So I sneak around the equipment and head on. I had to take the high road...as I usually do.

This is a cool picture, if you look close you can see a zig zag lighter pattern on the hill across the way. That was a road like 20 years ago, and has now been taken back by the alder trees, pretty cool how nature heals itself.

Well I headed home and even back on the 10 mile ride back on the highway at 5:30 it was still warm...I am so looking forward to summer.

Work? You mean you have to work today? I'm getting paid to not work and post from home. Oh wait I suspect that you are getting paid to "work" and post.
