so how do you keep the screws from poking holes in the tubes? just cut up another old tube to make a liner?

 

Those tires make me want to let-out one of those TimAllenesch Woahohoooo's! Maybe next winter if we're still living in the cold part of the country.

 

I'm thinking of running the shortest screws I can find and just put them in the long outer lugs. Maybe 3/8" to 1/2" long at the most. I'd screw them in from the outside so the hex head is what bites, not the screw thread. Or if I had a 3rd set of wheels I'd run a set of those Bib Mousse foam solid inserts with some seriously "screwed up" tires.
