Last few days with the KLX!
Same here, while Dec-Jan are usually to cold cept for the occasional day here and there i prefer the fall, winter and spring season.
Or when the kids will want a pull in the sled.

Mines actually in the basement too. Winter is a good time to do some maintenance. I'll get some stuff cleaned up and then it'll go back into the garage.

Nice to see that a number of you can bike year round. Around here winter and steep hills make for an unpleasant combo, I'll live longer by putting the bike up for a few months. Some winter days I don't even dare think about using my van (fwd). Even if I survived sliding down to the better plowed street I'd never get back up into my driveway, so playing on 2 wheels would be tempting fate. Reading this and a few other forums will have to do, in between getting lots of exercise relocating tons of snow!
Its just zero Celcius right now. I am waiting to go to work. If it warms up a dagree or two I am off on the SF for an 18 mile ride. Hand guards are great this time of year.
If it does not warm up a little more, Its off to work in an old rusty diesel ford truck....
New York State Insurance all year full coverage $87.00 Go figure. They have you sign a thing saying you won't ride it in bad weather. I guess I get to decide what is bad. This time of the year, I am the only bike on the road anyhow.

Never quite worth putting them up in Ohio... can be 25 one day and 55 the next... I just kept them kind of ready. The only thing that usually kept me off in the winter was snow or heavy salt on the road. Now that I don't have a heated garage I don't ride as much because it's just a tad difficult to fire them up when it's in the twenties and thirties. The oil kind of "glues" it together... even 10w40.
For easy start in the cold, go with synthetic oil. It does NOT turn to glue when cold. I figured this out with my air cooled welder. Now I use it in my diesel ford truck because it spins right over no matter how cold it is.

Good to see so many ride through the more challenging conditions. Mine sees weekly use year round here in the Seattle area. It is rare to have more than a couple of snow days in a row and never gets too hot.
