Default LA to Divide Peak

A few weeks ago ITNANTI and I went for a ride up to Los Padres Nat Forest. Ive camped up there bunch of times but never brought the bikes along. This time we decided to ride there. We started early around 6am and took sunset blvd all the way out to the coast. That is a really fun ride when theres not a bunch of a-holes in their cars. We got to PCH and rode the coast up to about the beginning of Ventura County. We took one detour up deer creek road for some quick twistys and to catch a early foggy view of the ocean from a small dirt trail I found a while ago.

We then headed up to ventura and took a nice detour around Lake Casitas lots of fun twistys and no traffic. At the end of the twistys we got dumped out into town and I looked back and no ITNANTI. I waited... and waited, Ok I couldn't have been going that much faster. Right as I was getting worried and about to turn around and go looking for him along comes ITNANTI. A bee got stuck in his Leatt collar and aperently wasnt to happy about it so he proceeded to sting the **** out of his neck.

We got to Santa Barbara had a bite to eat and then boogied up the mountain pass to the service roads. More fun twisties to get there and a little open play area on the way to the OHV. We got to Divide peak OHV and went for it, we got a little over half way through and with the temps soaring and our asses dreading the long ride home we decided to double back and get cooking. It was a fun ride. We had brought our swim trunks to go to the swimming hole but we opted for the watering hole instead

Speedo logged about 350 miles, ITNANTI 389

general route minus all the random detours and OHV trails.

the trash in you first pic is disappointing, people drive all that way to look at the view and then they mess it up, mind you this is a world wide problem, we have people coming to NZ to see the green clean and they dump the trash out of their rental car and campers.

Love the pictures and that blue sky is great, keep them coming :-)

Yah I agree, beautiful Malibu I think its just a spot kids go to party, at least thats what the discarded panties and empty cases of beer told me, possible crime scene? Thats not an actual OHV trail, you hardly see garbage on those cause most riders are respectfull enough.

Ya, as soon as I saw that trash I was disappointed. Such a beautiful shot to be tarnished by trash. Anyway, the ride looked cool.

Yeah trash sucks but this was not the trail we rode on. This was a quick turn out look out point in Malibu. Any tween with a honda civic and six pack can get here. Divide peak was beautiful and clean. There is a gate that is in front of the entrance only bikes and quaders with skills can get around it. The gate is to keep cars out. I'm still recovering from this ride. 1 day 14 hours and 394 miles. All the harley guys at the Paradise store were freaking out that we rode from LA on our little 250s.
