Default kx250 rear fender mod

Started out with a 2006 acerbis rear fender from motosport.com for 20.00. With a little cutting and and mounting hardware this gives the bike a whole new look. I still have to notch out where the fender hits the turn signal to lower the rear half an inch and drill a hole for two clamp mounts toward the front. Also have to drill out the holes to mount my rear rack. Ill get more pictures when im finished. This is a super easy mod to do in the off season with some patience, it doesn't line up perfect with the side panels for for 20 bucks and hardware its worth it.

I used a KX250/450 rear fender on mine. You can see pics on my website here:

That's the reason i bought one. The gap between the panels looks like its gonna be a lot tighter on mine.

Yeah, I had mine fit the side panel perfect before drilling the 2 top holes, but it was to short at the back, and didn't fit to the bottom of the seat nice. I went with a happy medium. I'm happy with it. Much better than the stock 2 piece eye sore fender. Man I couldn't stomach that at all. Good luck with yours. Post up pics when its done. Happy New Year man...

Yeah thats fine man. I'd just like to see pics when your done. My bike still had red plastics on it when I did the rear fender. So I went with white. Now that my bike is finally wearing proper green plastics, I'd like to do another fender in green "IF" I keep this bike. I'm trying to get a 300 2-stroke, Beta, Husky, GasGas, or KTM. But if that doesn't happen, I'll keep the KLX, do the 351cc kit, and green up my rear fender.

For the foreseeable future i don't see myself selling this bike. Ima do a 351 kit and some other performance goodies, but this thing amazes me for my skill level. Im sure a 450 or a 2 stroke would be better in technical terrain but my comfort on two wheels isn't to the wheeling over things yet. Im more of a suspension pick your lines good and hold on kinda guy

Got a CR fender in the garage, figure I'll fit it to either the 250 or 650 since both are red. I figure some creative heating and bending with a heat gun and some good leather work gloves might help it fit close to the inner fender.
