Never heard of a dust light, but it makes sense. Nice job.

Did you take some pics as you fabbed it all up and installed? Would like to see exactly how you did it.

Here's another guy who did a kx450 rear fender on a first gen KLX250s... but no pics or detailed how-did.

Wish folks would take a few extra minutes to document when they take on projects like this.. make it easier for others to pick it up and try for themselves without having to stumble on all the same gotchas and issues.

I can take the fender off and take some pictures of where i cut. You can see the fender lines where i followed. After the cuts were made its basically up the the individual as to how they want to mount it. That will determine where the hole are drilled, and the one thing is that i wanted to keep the rack on so my initial hole was a inch too far back so i could of did it a bit better. But it was only 20 bucks so could always order a second one with better cuts

With the best of intentions, not to be snotty - not everyone wants anyone else to take their individual modifications for appearance or higher performance, the latter being predominant in racing rather than street. The intention is to "be the only one" with the cool mod. No one wants to "pass themselves" going down the street/trail. That is really true with graphics.

That said, I plan to mount a CR250 fender to my 09 - Red. I will modify the shape where it mates up to the frame using a heat gun and some heavy leather work gloves, shortening it up as needed. The big concern as noted in that fender thread, will be the rear frame shape and how it will fit up to the fender.
