Next week I start "protective" rehab... getting and keeping the shoulder joint moving but not using the muscles yet. Four weeks before recovery rehab.
|
Mark, are you there?
|
Oh heck yes. I sent an email with a tracking number. Check your junk mail if you missed it.

Thanks, Greg |
Your tensioner arrived today. It's really nice. :)
Installed it with no issues. Gaskets work great smeared with a thin coat of 100% silicone door and window caulk. I'm glad the body is natural aluminum and not anodized. I have a little booth and stainless steel bead blasted it to match the engine paint. https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.kaw...618daa1622.jpg I especially like that clever angled countersink that holds the O ring under the locknut. My DRZ tensioner lacked that feature and seeped oil. I first adjusted it manually to get it close and then did the running engine adjustment. I turned the adjuster back and forth loose and tight over and over, so I could become familiar with what the boundaries sound like, and then shot for a relaxed middle with a little bit of clatter. i'm totally pleased. Nice work, Mark. :) |
Thank you. I really appreciate it.

Forgot to mention a small tip... :)
I adjusted mine easily even though the head pipe was blazing hot simply by wrapping a few overlapping layers of fiberglass exhaust wrap around the pipe. My hand could safely remain in contact with the wrap while I did the running adjustment. |
May have to add that to the instructions. That is one problem others mention. .
