Nice product and great personal contact from the seller. Thanks man! my bike with 15,000 miles is pretty quiet, but I still want to get one of those adjusters some day. Again, great stuff!

I am so happy when I hear that the adjuster works for you guys. That's the whole reason for doing it in the first place.

When you can't find a part to do the job right, something has to be done. I did that for the KLX650 and Zephyr when no one did anything for them and TNC got with me to do it on the KLX250 and it worked out great. I'm just thinking how many bikes have kept their cam drive and engine together by TNC getting ahold of and working with me on this... kind of cool.

The Sherpa T is in a garage at my parent's place, heaven only knows when it will be up and running. I got another gas tank, but time is the question. The one on the bike pics site is my old flat track bike.

Tell everyone the truth, Mark. You're waiting for someone to make a manual cam chain adjuster for the Sherpa before you can get it going, right?

Hey! Believe it or not, it does have a tensioner on it... The drive chain has a tensioner on the Sherpa Ts. Later ones actually had one on the primary chain too! I guess it's in my blood.

Sorry to bring this thread back from the grave, but I installed a Krieger cam chain tensioner. I followed the procedure in the instructions to tighten it up by hand while maintaining tension on cam chain via the crank pulley bolt. Anyway, I've got at least twice as much thread showing on the tensioner as in the pics posted here. Is this normal? I haven't started the bike yet, and I'm afraid that the tensioner isn't doing it's thing. Any ideas?

Good question. I don't have an answer, other than you may want to measure the bolt length and check with Mark. He inadvertently sent me an incorrect tensioner, but it was obvious because the mounting bolts didn't line up at all.

Here is a pick of how it looks on my bike.
