Could be possible... but I'm not sure why they'd do that. It was a brand new leftover '09. I bought it this past March, with 1 mile on the odo.

Perhaps it's a regional thing??? Could they possibly set them up differently to match the reqion they are sold in? I bought mine in WY. Lots of rocky off-road trails around this area...

Next time you're back in there, ask. I doubt that Kawasaki would bother doing something like that. Easier to have all product heading for North America shod the same.

I've been searching for awhile and keep eyeing Michelin T63 front and rear......I ride backroads and New England trails. Rocks, roots, mud....This will be my first tire change from stock on my 07. Anyone know about these tires? Thanks

I am very fond of the T63s. I also like to mix tires on the bigger DS bikes. On my DR650, I like to run A Kenda 270 on the back and a Mich T63 up front. I do have a new pair of 606s ready to go on my "new to me" 07 KLX 250. Finally, got some down time today and got the Moose Racing Bark Busters and Pro-Taper bars on. Next is the skid plate then the jetting and exhaust mods

It seems that the front pirelli mt-44 would be a good candidate to match the rear trackmaster II.
I think it got rename to Pirelli Scorpion XCMS.
That's the next one I'll get.
So far I didn't like the trackmaster nor the ac10 in the front.

I've got a Pirelli MT-16 on the front and love it. Grips like crazy off road, and is still street legal. Many off road racers swear by this tire, and I can see why.

Only downside is the compliant sidewall makes it nearly impossible to ride if you get a flat tire and have to ride out, as I learned.

Dunlop 952s on my plated Kdx200 last weekend in the U.P. Great in the sand mud gravel and pavement. Not Dot but make the bike great off road and hardly any wear after three hard days.

That might be an outstanding tire, but you do have to be mindful of comparing what works well on fairly light 2-stroke competition bike compared to a heavier, 4-stroke, DS bike. I've begun to think that tire recommendations are almost like oil threads...hard to come to a definitive conclusion for everyone.

My buddy was running the 952s on his xr650l and they did show slightly more wear over the same weekend. Klx250s kinda slots between the Kdx and XRL weight wise. Did I mention the 952s are really cheap.

Anybody ever notice the Dunlop D952 and the Kenda Trakmaster have a similar tread pattern of alternating rows of two and then three with side lugs splitting the gap? Is the Dunlop a DOT tire?
