Default klx450 motard wheels on 2010 klx250s

Hi guys, just finished my latest mod. A pair of klx450 motard wheels, 120/70 on 17x3.5 and 140/70 on 17x4.25. Bit of a squeeze. Had to make a few bearing adaptors and remove the Speedo sensor but success in the end. Just ordered the new vapour Speedo kit for it. Other mods so far are kk330 big bore, carb mods, k&n filter, fmf mega bomb header and slip on. Front brake rotor squeals a little at slow speed. Any ideas to rectify this?

There is that factory foam ring between the rotor and the spokes.

Some thoughts...
Make sure the slider pins that allow the caliper to move as pad wears, are clean and greased to allow movement.

Scuff the rotor - I think with a red Scotchbrite pad. Wipe it clean with brake cleaner. Then sand the pad surfaces and make sure they're same thickness leading edge to trailing edge (not wedge shaped). Maybe get a little tube of that brake pad goo from a car parts store to put on the back of the pads. I think that is an anti chatter goop.

I'm curious, is the stock sf a 4" rear rim? If so you could have fit a 150/60 on the rear.

Default spacer info

Hey klxmoto, the front spacers are stepped with a 15mm bore (250s axle dia). the first step is 20mm dia (450 axle dia) to suit the bearing and is the width of the bearing. The outer step is to suit the seal dia and you will have to check length to centre wheel in forks. The rears are similar but with a 20mm bore. The first step is 25mm to suit bearing and the next to suit the seal. they then step up again to around 40mm. I spaced my rear as far right as I could for chain clearance. I'm running RAD hubs. I also spaced the rear sprocket out 6mm and the front sprocket 3mm, chain clearance also. You could stuff around to adapt the speedo drive. I had to muck around with the chain guide a little too. It's a bit of mucking around but achievable. I did all this a while back so dimensions are a little vague. Hope this helps.
