Not sure if John A. was the OP, but he was the person I delt with in 2012. Just wanted to give a testimony on these kits. I bought a 331 with the 11:5 compression kit about 7 years ago and it's been rock solid every since. I've put about 8,000 miles on it in different kinds of terrain, runs good - runs strong. Can't go wrong with this kit.

Kit ordered... now the question is whether or not to install it before a big group ride in early April, or wait till the heat of summer drives me off the trail. Bike is running great right now and if i miss the April gig, the next big ride isn't until November... may not want to press my luck..

Im a LARGE rider.. and have been looking at the 331 and 351 kits...

I'm sitting at 345lbs and my weight is asking ALOT of the lil 250.
This price point is great.. I guess my question is, given my weight, would there really be that much difference between the 331 and the 351 kits?

Yes it is. I paid about $100 more with an exchange 7 years ago. It was still a lot less than a KK kit.

With about 4 weeks until the ride I don't see why not. You're pretty much set up like my bike. I have the FMF mega bomb header with a PC4 exhaust, so you're ready for this kit. Get it in, break it in hard with a good non-synthetic oil and you'll be good to go.

Yeah, depending on when it arrives, I've got 6 or 7 weekends to sort it out. Plus I've never been know for patience when it comes to new "toys".. LOL
