Default KLX300 air filter? 97-05

Anyone know if the KLX300 air filter will fit our bike?
I'm looking at buying a 97-05 KLX 300R Uni Air Filter online.

thanks!

I have a Uni Air Filter, but I'm bought mine at the Kawi dealer. I'm not sure about the 300 being the same.

Guys it's very easy to see if parts are the same, go to www.kawasaki.com click on motorcycles, click on owners info, click on parts diagrams, click on continue (motorcycles), click on KLX250s, click on continue, click on click here to continue, click on view (parts diagram) then click on the section you want in this case air cleaner, click on the part number above the part you want and it will highlight the part number you want. In this case the p/n for the air filter for the KLX250s is 11013-1260.
Do the same for the KLX300 and you will find the p/n is 11013-1260, the same as the KLX250s .... easy huh [8D]

Hey Mav I have a question for you. It looks like in your photo album that the exit for your exhaust is a lot bigger than ours. What's the story on that. Sorry if you already explained it somewhere else.

No worries Kawi Wawi, glad I could help [8D]
No Probs deej, yeah we mentioned it in adv forums but not here, seems the aussie KLX's get a different muffler to the good ole usa. The us muffler has a 1/2" exit hole and the aussie ones are 15/16". I don't know what the internal differences are.
Just another thing while on exhausts seems back in May, Staintune put up their prices [:@] it's now $870 aus for boh header and muffler up from $800. Just thought I'd mention that for anyone still thinking about Staintune ... wish I'd bought mine back in April

Just curious - what is the advantage of the UNI filter over stock?

I really don't know, I would expect that it would breathe better, but in truth the only reason that I got my UNI was the fact that they had it in the store the day I walked in for a very cheap price so I picked it up. One thing I must mention is that the quality is much better and seems to be much more durable. Also looks like it passes more air flow through it, but it might not, I don't know. Now when I'm cleanin one filter though I have another one that I can pop right in and not wait for the other one to dry.
